Currently there are 2 types of plan papers filing cabinet which are popular in Malaysia, Horizontal plan files cabinet and vertical plan files cabinet.

Vertical plan file cabinets need plan strip to stick to the plan paper, while horizontal plan files cabinets need not the map strip. Plan file cabinets are divided in 3 sizes according to size of plan paper, i.e. A1 size paper, AO size paper, and AQ size paper.
